Technical Sales
This position will offer substantial sale and design experience to the right candidate.
Summary
The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and sustaining new clients. This includes contacting new clients and establishing relationships with resellers. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the candidate will also work closely with manufacturing to deliver our equipment with precise detail.
Responsibilities
- Sales – achieving sales objectives
- Penetrate new markets in coordination with marketing support
- Remaining accountable for design, costing, and project management
- Design, size and select Industrial Mixers according to engineering principles
- Maintain customer relationship management database throughout the sales cycle and account management
- Prepare and deliver customer presentations, pricing and promotional proposals, and other business endeavors
- Conduct post-program ROI analysis to gauge effectiveness
- Communicate channel and market activity results to senior management
- Provide input and assist in development of presentations, product training plans, and marketing collateral
- Create and conduct in-depth sales presentations that highlight key benefits, ROI, and value the company’s products/services
Requirements
- Technical education (diploma or degree) OR direct experience selling equipment into the process industries
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset
- Skilled at assessing client needs, developing proposals, and delivering solutions
- Ability to write clear and concise value proposition statements
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
Preferred
- Engineering Degree
- High level of proficiency with CAD, CRM, software packages
- Experience in online sales and marketing
Working Environment
- Some travel may be required
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations
- Overtime as required
Compensation is based on experience.
