Drum Mixers

The 55 Gallon Drum has been a staple of the Chemical Industry, and so has the 55 Gallon Drum Mixer. What has changed is the technology and requirements of the chemical products shipped in these 45, 50 or 55 Gallon Drums. The standard 1750rpm Drum Mixer is no longer ideal for all products. Issues such as shear and solids suspension require a Drum Mixer which is ideally configured according to the product needs as well as the type of Drum used.

As part of our focus on Bulk Container Mixers, Dynamix has developed a unique line of Drum Mixers. If you need a 45 Gallon Drum Mixer, 50 Gal Drum Mixer or a 55 Gal Drum Mixer, our line of Drum Mixers can be mounted to Closed Head Drums as well as open Head Drums. Application Assurance and Warranty

Our unique Universal Drum Mixer will mount to both types of drum opening. For closed head Drum Mixers we mount to the 2” NPT opening of your drum head or the “Bung” opening of your drum head. These Drum mixers are usually confined to High Speed mixing, but can be optimized by our collapsible impellers in order to produce greater pumping in the Drum via larger diameter collapsible impellers which expand inside the drum.

As mentioned the Universal Drum Mixer mount will allow mixers to be mounted to the 2” NPT / Bung Opening or mounted to an open head drum without any additional equipment. This unique drum mount will allow the drum mixer to mix your product with a large diameter impeller via it’s angle mount.

For increased Drum Mixing our Open Head Drum Mixers use our DMX mixer series for more robust drum mixing in open head drums. The open head drum mixers are not confined by smaller openings so that impeller diameters can optimize mixing performance. This Drum Mixer allows for greater torque and increased Drum Mixing.
